Church School News 

Children’s Day June 8, 2008. This is fast approaching, and Church School classes have begun work on a special project for the day. We are also enjoying wonderful lessons about Jesus and his miracles. We need EVERY CHILD in Church School to be a part of this, so we need you here! Please be sure to join us each week.

 TEACHERS' MEETING - Sunday May 18th, 11:30 am in double classroom.  Final preparations for Children's Day!

 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2008 - August 11-14th, 9:00-12:00noon, for ages 4-12.   Save the days!  Teen volunteers needed to work as VBS Leaders and helpers.  Registrations will begin on Children's Day. 

RCC Church School

Nursery: ages newborn to ~ 3; full-time caregivers, a changing table, toys, activities, snacks. Parents may leave their child (pagers available), or are welcome to stay.

3 & 4 Year-Olds: a weekly Bible story with games, crafts, snack. Children also learn some beginning prayers.

PreK & K: ages late 4 - 6; a weekly Bible story with activities. Children learn some simple prayers, study the Christmas story.

1^st & 2^nd Grades: This age group begins studying with a children’s Bible. Children work on Mission projects, learn The Lord’s Prayer and the meaning of Communion.

3^rd & 4^th Grades: Lessons on the 10 Commandments, the Easter story, and the general organization of the Bible. Children also do some Mission work.

5^th & 6^th Grades: Lessons focus on Jesus’ life and ministry. Children study Bible maps, learn about Paul, study the meaning of Baptism. Children also continue work on Mission projects.

7^th Grade: Review of previous years, and studies of the history of Rehoboth Congregational Church, UCC, and the parts of our worship service. Discussion also includes current world and personal events in relation to their Christianity.

8^th Grade: This grade continues the work of 7^th, involving the students in more Church activities, while preparing for Confirmation studies next year.
